One of the Best Marinas in the Mediterranean
First of all Reial Club Nautico Palma in the Bay of Palma is probably one of the most noteworthy and best marinas in the Mediterranean. This is because it is known for organizing major sporting sailing events such as the King’s Cup and other events for the world’s top cruisers. In addition, it is a port that has the most exclusive services for its clients: gym, heated indoor and outdoor pools, a sea school and 24-hour security.
El Nautico Restaurant
El Náutico restaurant is located in the bay of Palma within the Reial Club Nautico de Palma de Mallorca. This is in the middle of the bay of Palma and just a few minutes from its impressive cathedral.
Due to its elegant interior the restaurant offers a relaxed environment and also a touch of sophistication. There is a living room which has magnificent views of the sea and also the centre of Palma. In addition there is also a terrace in the middle of the port’s moorings. As a result you can enjoy one of the most noteworthy enclaves of the Mediterranean.
Famed for Regattas and Sailing Events such as the King’s Cup
Founded in 1948, the Real Club Náutico de Palma Yacht Club is the doyen of the Balearic Yacht Clubs. Faithful to its vocation of being one of the best clubs in Europe, it completely revamped its installations between 1999 and 2004.
During its 60 years of existence, the Club has hosted an impressive number of international regattas and sailing events, such as the King’s Cup. Its past has been characterised by the world’s most important competitors. Furthermore, this is continuing, leaving a legacy that very few clubs can demonstrate.
In 1998 the Club was nominated as the “Best Spanish Yacht Club” in Bayonne. Consequently recognising the success of the reforms that have been carried out over the last six years. The jetties, the dry dock, the offices, the library, the leisure rooms, the bars and restaurants, the terraces, the swimming pool, the gymnasium and the sailing school have all been completely refurbished.
In 1999 the Club was awarded the Distinction of “Important” by the Diario de Mallorca newspaper. It was also awarded a prize by the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca and Ibiza.
